Hrm. I've been really lax about updating this when I send out weekly e-mails; guess I need to write a script to do it automatically...

  • Milk - $3/half-gallon
  • Eggs - $3.50/dozen
  • Chicken - $3/lb.
  • Salad (mild and spicy) - $7/lb.
  • Braising mix - $1.50/half-pound
  • Red Russian kale - $1.75/bunch
  • Rosemary - $1.50/bunch (we've gone down to about 1 oz. bunches, five or six sprigs, which seems to be an amount people can actually use...)

We'll have some amount of tomatoes and cherry tomatoes...

We're finally getting some hay in. I don't think much of it is good enough quality that the cows will eat it, but at least we're getting the place mowed, and hopefully we'll have a decent second cut and get enough to take us through the winter.

We have a new batch of 50 pullets that are just starting to lay, so in a month or so we should have plenty of eggs.

We're still behind where we'd like to be, but I think we've finally settled down to an amount of stuff that we can more or less keep up with, so we should be in decent shape for the winter and for next year, and not just in the same mess all over again.
